Hallelu Yah, 
God of our Mothers and Fathers,

May the Divine Voice that spoke in the Beginning
be in our mouths when we speak Truth to Power.

Let our words scorch the ears of tyrants 
and flood the tunnels of darkness.

Give us words to speak truth even if we stutter and are afraid. 
When we must make impossible choices, grant us wisdom.

Help us find kindness in justice, compassion in righteousness,
stand with us against evil, ease the suffering of the innocents.

When we find ourselves once again at the shore of the Sea,
step with us into the muddy waters,

sustain us when we wander through a desert,
teach us how to live in a promised land.
