As someone approaching her 75th birthday, I am slowly accepting the idea of mortality. While hopeful that this final act will be long, relatively painless and satisfying, I am well aware that I have little control over that. I can, however, control my approach to whatever comes, and continue in any way possible to promote the dignity of humanity and the health of the earth. In "The Old Man and the Sea" Hemingway wrote: "Now is no time to think of what you do not have. Think of what you can do with what there is." I'm trying.....
