The miracle was not in the measure of consecrated oil 
or the number of hours and days the oil burned.
The miracle was letting go of measuring.

When we measure the consecrated oil
lighting the lamp only when we have enough,
     then darkness will prevail.

Darkness is not the absence of Light.
Darkness is Light that has been measured
     and found unworthy.

Let go of measuring.
Be the match that kindles fire and the consecrated oil,
be the miracle of Light you were created to be.
