Oh, My Beloved

Oh, my beloved, do not despair
Of your beauty and loveliness.
See in my eyes the truth
Of your being.

For you are strong and graceful,
Like the cedars of Lebanon,
Your radiance bursts forth,
In rays of morning sun.

Your heart beats the rhythm
That carries my love song.
The words from your lips
Drip sweetness into my mouth.

I desire to know all
Your joys and your sorrows,
The comfort of your touch
And the prayers of your soul.

Rise up, my beloved,
Take hold of my hand,
Dance with me gently
Into mountains of joy.
